Frank has over 34 years experience, and has handled a wide array of aviation matters, including defending both military and commercial airframe manufacturers, and aircraft systems and component part manufacturers, in claims and litigation both in the United States and Europe stemming from helicopter, general aviation and commercial aircraft accidents.
Stephanie has worked on a variety of aviation cases throughout the United States. Her experience includes defending component manufacturers in major airline disaster cases and multi-district litigation, as well as defending airport service equipment manufacturers against strict liability and negligence claims.
Darrell represents clients in trial and appellate courts throughout the United States in complex, mass tort, multi-district aviation litigation. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell in Aviation and Aerospace, Litigation and Products Liability.
Roberta has been practicing aviation law since receiving her J.D. from Fordham University Law School in 2004. She handles cases in all areas of the aviation and aerospace industry and has represented airlines, manufacturers and service providers in the industry in an array of product liability, general aviation and contract dispute matters. Roberta has represented insurers in both third-party defense cases and subrogation matters.
After working as a law clerk in the summer of 2009, Jay joined Fitzpatrick & Hunt, Tucker, Collier, Pagano, Aubert, LLP as a new associate in August 2010.
Ralph’s practice is mainly focused on complex legal matters involving aviation disputes. He has represented engine and component part manufacturers, avionics manufacturers, maintenance providers, airlines, airports and airport ground service providers, in litigation and various forms of Alternate Dispute Resolution throughout the United States and the world.
Alan has been defending aviation products manufacturers and service providers in litigation throughout California, the United States, and the world, for over 20 years. Alan’s work ranges from the defense of clients involved in airport service equipment and operations, to those with products involved in major air disaster litigation, both foreign and domestic.
Jim has been litigating aviation-related cases for in excess of 30 years, and has been lead trial counsel on numerous large and complex cases during that time, including both multi-district and class action cases. Among them are the American Airlines accident at Cali, Colombia; the Pepcon "AP" fires and explosions resulting in a large subrogation claim in Las Vegas, Nevada; the Astrium telecommunication satellites solar array litigation; the U.S. Air Force CT-43A (Ron Brown) crash at Dubrovnik, Croatia; the TAM Fokker 100 "thrust reverser" crash, Sao Paolo, Brazil; the Alaska Airlines Flight 261 "jackscrew" accident offshore of California; a series of teetering rotor system helicopter "mast-bumping" cases; and different class actions involving damage to numerous general aviation engines.
Jason has over a decade of experience litigating a multitude of aviation cases arising out of commercial, general and military aviation accidents. Throughout his career, Jason has represented component part manufacturers, airlines and service providers in litigation in both the United States and Europe.
Gary is the Managing Partner of Fitzpatrick & Hunt, Tucker, Collier, Pagano, Aubert, LLP and has been practicing aviation law for over 35 years, representing various aviation companies all over the world. Gary has defended his clients in claims and litigation arising from major airline catastrophes, military crashes and general aviation accidents.
Suzanne defends aviation assureds in complex litigation matters from major aircraft disasters to private aircraft cases. She has also defended aviation manufacturers in toxic tort litigation involving asbestos, benzene, beryllium and lead exposure.
Garth focuses his practice on the defense of product manufacturers, airport service providers, aircraft maintenance facilities and airlines in litigation throughout the United States and the world. Garth’s practice also includes the defense of toxic tort litigation. Garth defends his clients in matters ranging from multi-state complex litigation and nationwide class actions, to local litigation in California.
Alex joined Fitzpatrick & Hunt, Tucker, Collier, Pagano, Aubert, LLP as a new associate in August 2010 after first working as a law clerk in the summer of 2009.
Tom has over 17 years experience practicing Aviation Law. Prior to entering the legal side of the Aviation field, Tom enjoyed a technical career at Grumman Aerospace Corporation. Tom worked as a systems design and development engineer on the U.S. Navy F-14D fighter jet program. His work included design of the stores management (weapons) system; the crew’s data entry computer; and the Infra-Red Search and Track System (IRSTS). Working closely with U.S. Navy pilots, Tom participated in flight testing of the F-14D during its development program.
Tara has represented clients in the aviation industry in a variety of complex product liability and negligence actions throughout the United States. Tara has significant experience defending airframe manufacturers and component manufacturers in complex product liability cases in both state and federal courts.
After working as a summer associate in 2010, Jennifer joined Fitzpatrick & Hunt, Tucker, Collier, Pagano, Aubert, LLP as a new associate in August 2011. Jennifer is a 2006 graduate of Lawrence University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree magna cum laude in both coursework and independent study and founded the university’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha.
Before becoming a lawyer, Steve practiced as an aeronautical engineer in jet and rocket engine design at the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Corporation Florida Research and Development Center. At that Center, he worked in: Analytical Design, Mechanical Design, Engine Test and The Materials Development Lab.
Chris has defended numerous aviation industry manufacturers and maintenance providers in litigation stemming from aircraft accidents and aircraft-related incidents. These matters have ranged from simple personal injury and property damage cases to major air disasters, and include: the defense of a major petroleum company against claims stemming from the crash of Alaska Airlines Flight 261, defense of a Japanese aircraft component manufacturer against tort and contract warranty claims arising from nose landing gear collapse incidents, and defense of various helicopter manufacturers in matters stemming from accidents in the U.S., Canada, China, Turkey and Russia.
Courtney has represented aviation product manufacturers in litigation in federal and state courts throughout California and the United States. She has defended these clients in complex, multi-district, major airline disaster litigation and general aviation accident cases involving Death on the High Seas Act, General Aviation Revitalization Act, Government Contractor Defense, and the Montreal Convention.
Kevin has a three decades-plus record representing airlines, service companies and aviation product manufacturers. He defended over 100 actions brought against a foreign state-owned airline arising out of the famous 1976 Entebbe hijacking. Appearing before the Court of Appeals of New York, Kevin obtained a dismissal of all actions pursuant to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. This was the first time that a New York court relied on the FSIA in dismissing an action against an airline.
Nelson practices all aspects of Aviation Products Litigation and insurance defense. He is an F.A.A. certified Airframe & Powerplant Airman and holds an F.C.C. General Radio Telephone License. Prior to law school Nelson worked as an aircraft technician with major air carriers in New York for over 12 years.
Aghavni defends manufacturers of aerospace and aviation component parts, including landing gear systems, altimeters, ground proximity warning computers, cargo handling systems, sprag retainer assemblies, and emergency evacuation systems in personal injury and property damage cases.
Mark's practice focuses on defense of aviation product manufacturers at the trial and appellate levels, in both state and federal courts. Representative cases include obtaining summary judgment for a military defense contractor arising from the crash of a Chinook helicopter in Afghanistan; defense of a successor product manufacturer resulting in a favorable published appellate opinion; defense of a multi-million dollar attorney-fee claim under a private attorney general theory; and an administrative challenge to the National Transportation Safety Board, resulting in reversal of an adverse probable cause finding.
Paul's practice focuses on representing aircraft and component manufacturers in product liability litigation throughout the United States and the world. Examples of his practice include representing a domestic component manufacturer during the Dutch government's accident investigation of a crash in Amsterdam, and securing the dismissal of an engine manufacturer from product liability litigation in the District of Oregon, where Paul was admitted pro hac vice. Paul also focuses his practice on representing many ground handling, airline and airport management clients in state and federal court litigation.
Alice practices aviation litigation representing aircraft manufacturers, product and component manufacturers, airlines, airport operators, maintenance service providers and other aviation-related companies in claims and actions involving aircraft accidents, property damage, personal injury, commercial loss and other aviation-related cases in state and federal Courts across the United States.
