Aghavni defends manufacturers of aerospace and aviation component parts, including landing gear systems, altimeters, ground proximity warning computers, cargo handling systems, sprag retainer assemblies, and emergency evacuation systems in personal injury and property damage cases. Representative matters include claims stemming from the Garuda Indonesia Airline 152 accident near Medan, Indonesia, the defense of a component manufacturer against claims resulting from the Air France 358 accident in Toronto, Canada, the defense of a component manufacturer involving allegations of damage to the solar arrays of nine telecommunications satellites, and the defense of a Japanese component manufacturer and its U.S. subsidiary against claims arising from general aviation aircraft accidents.
Aghavni has experience at both the trial and appellate levels. She also counsels clients in the areas of loss prevention and product integrity. Aghavni is admitted in all state and federal district courts in California. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and International Aviation Women’s Association.
