Courtney is an Associate in the Los Angeles office. She has represented component part manufacturers in litigation in federal and state courts throughout California and the United States. She has defended these clients in complex product liability matters and mass tort litigation involving claims of wrongful death, personal injury, negligence, strict liability and property damage. Courtney has also litigated matters involving premises liability, insurance coverage, transportation, contract disputes, asbestos and toxic torts.
Courtney has experience working closely with clients in all areas of civil litigation, including complex discovery issues, electronic discovery, depositions, mediation and trial preparation. Courtney has obtained summary judgment for her clients, as well as dismissals based on jurisdictional issues, such as forum non conveniens. She has also successfully defended motions based on discovery disputes. Courtney advises corporate clients on compliance with federal regulations and risk management assessment. She has authored several articles including such topics as the General Aviation Revitalization Act.
Courtney is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts of California. Additionally, she has appeared pro hac vice on behalf of clients in state and federal courts throughout the Untied States. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
