Partner  / New York  / Stamford

Matt serves as national recovery counsel to one of the world’s largest insurers.  He prides himself on exceeding expectations and delivering results.  Managing a network of attorneys in all fifty states, he solves problems relating to retained limits, liens, deductible obligations, collateral, contribution, and indemnity.  He’s made sizeable recoveries in subrogation actions involving aviation losses, telecommunications satellites, and defective products.  Matt is also proud to represent people who’ve been injured or lost loved ones because of the careless and unsafe practices of others; he’s had notable successes with FELA, Labor Law, and premises liability claims.

A father of four and avid Yankees fan, Matt enjoys coaching and playing soccer, weight training, skiing, reading, and landscaping.  A lifelong fan of thoroughbred horseracing, Matt dreams of one day campaigning a Travers winner (but in more grounded moments would settle for hitting the board in a middling allowance race).
