Roberto is an Associate in the New York office. His primary experience involves the defense of aviation component manufacturers and airport service providers. Roberto litigates numerous claims ranging from premises liability, product liability, contract dispute, subrogation, to insurance and indemnification claims.
Roberto is a 2010 graduate of Hunter College, City University of New York, where he received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, with a dual major in Political Science and Special Honors Curriculum. Thereafter, Roberto graduated from Fordham University School of Law in May of 2016.
While at Fordham, Roberto clerked for the New York City Transit Authority, where he assisted in the defense of high-exposure personal injury cases involving transportation accidents. Before joining the Firm as a summer associate in 2015, Roberto interned in the legal department of a leading provider of title insurance, technology, and transaction services for the real estate and mortgage industries. There, he assisted in the defense of real estate developers, commercial mortgage lenders, and title insurance companies in quiet title, breach of contract, and declaratory judgment actions involving complex real estate financing and secured transactions.
Roberto is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he studied law at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro prior to immigrating to the United States. While in New York, Roberto also worked as a Consular Officer at the Consulate General of Brazil, where he adjudicated passport and visa applications, and promoted trade and investment opportunities between Brazil and the United States.
Roberto speaks Portuguese and Spanish and is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
